A well as the development and
application of technology for our
LNG-propelled next-generation cruise
ships, these vessels will also feature an
entirely novel design. Costa Cruises’
new fleet members will be powered
by the clean fuel of the future and
be veritable showcases for the very
latest trends in shipboard vacations.
Conceived by Adam D. Tihany, who
is considered the world’s leading
hospitality designer, the project will
be inspired by the theme of “Italy’s
Finest”.
Tihany, who is from New York, is
the Creative Director for these new
builds and, in this capacity, he will be
overseeing an elite group of architects
and designers with a brief to create a
new concept of ship taking into account
feedback from guests and projecting
their vision of the cruise. The layout
of the new ships will reflect comments
and suggestions from Costa guests,
aimed at making more efficient use
of space and delivering an enhanced
guest experience in line with – and
surpassing – expectations.
