                                                 In line with this approach, the Company decided to help publicize the Fjord Ranger
                                                 Programme, an educational project for visitors to the Geirangerfjord UNESCO World
                                                 Heritage Site (Norway). This is aimed at the protection and preservation of the delicate
                                                 natural heritage of the fjord and the sustainable development of the site, also by means
                                                 of awareness-raising actions in partnership with enterprises. Before Costa’s guests visit,
                                                 they will be given information about the history, culture and traditions of the places on
                                                 the itinerary, and will be invited to go on different routes, beyond the World Heritage
                                                 Visitor Centre, with a focus on key sustainability issues for the area.
                                                 Costa’s  Warm Hospitality also includes respect for diversity and the provision of
                                                 measures for inclusion of guests at risk of exclusion from shore tours: during the
                                                 reporting year our Adagio Tours continued and were extended to also include Costa
                                                 Smeralda. This project, a first for the cruise industry, is specially designed for people
                                                 with disabilities and other guests (e.g. seniors and families with toddlers) who prefer
                                                 excursions at a more leisurely pace. The tours were designed jointly by Costa Crociere
                                                 Foundation and Associazione Italiana Sclerosi Multipla (AISM) with input from 15
                                                 women who have MS (through the initiative WAT! – Women Accessibility Tourism)
                                                 and who certified the effective accessibility both in the ports of call and in the places
                                                 visited during the actual excursions.
